Currencies fluctuate all the time for various reasons, so I wouldn’t worry too much about SEK declining 4% in eight months. It’s seen better and worse over the years. But I agree with JL below that Sweden should switch to the euro. It was part of the conditions of joining the EU more than 30 years ago, in 1995, and I’m surprised that we've got away with keeping SEK for so long. Denmark obtained an opt-out clause to keep the DKK, but Sweden didn’t. Polling has always shown negative Swedish opinion to adopting the euro until quite recently, which would explain the political reluctance, but the latest numbers are around 53% for and 41% against, so let’s hope the question gains positive political momentum soon.

Sverige should adopt the euro. SEK is an administrative burden on my and others’ small businesses that have global supply chains and as much business within the EU as domestically.
